Here is a link to the latest boys basketball game North Quincy vs Pembroke from January 18, 2019.
The game we shot with 4 cameras, two trailing the motion with Canon Vixia 82s and 1 focused on the score board, then the wide angle shot is from a Canon T4i with a 10-18 EFS lens.
The Wide angle is really cool and you can see the rode mic with the dead cat on the top of the shot. I’m not sure how to move it back unless i buy some sore of adapter to raise the hot shoe/ cold shoe insert from the rode off to the side or higher up.
Its been fun shooting the game of the week for this season. We are still looking for sponsors to advertise during the games.
Our intention is to go live and stream with the myslingstudio just waiting to see if we can get our youtube video viewers higher before we invest in new equipment.
Anyways here is a link to this past weeks game
The game was Sponsored by Pembroke Selectmen John Brown.
This game we edited it a little different using Premiere to create a crop effect around our score board angle, and then another crop of that same shot for the shot clock.
Unfortunately i didn’t get the shot clock into the game until the middle of the 2nd Quarter, as i had the camera incorrectly focused on just the main score board at the visitors bench.
Overall this was a really good game, and if you skip to the Overtime section
You can see the 3 pointer taken by Pembroke to take the lead with just 1 second left in the game.
I plan on creating the unauthorized media productions website this week and talk about reason why we are using multiple cameras and what we might be expanding into.
I’d really like to see some of the local reastuarants work with us to broadcast the games in their establishments while the game is going on. I think it would help the local communities get a better feel for how the sports teams are doing. Plus its always cool to drink a freshing beverage while watching the games. And you can’t do that in at High School Gym.
